A unique experience

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. The retreat is a space to pause, reconnect, and experience real change — in your body, in community, in real life.

Surrounded by nature, silence, and honest conversation, you’ll be among men who — like you — are ready to show up more fully.

You arrive carrying what you’ve been holding. You leave lighter, clearer, and more yourself. I’ve seen it happen time and time again. And it doesn’t stop there — it ripples.

A unique experience

Your space to reconnect

Here’s what I’ve learned from being in these rooms: true connection can’t happen in overstimulated environments. It requires intentional space. It requires nature, and quiet, and people who’ve signed up for the same vulnerable experience. In that environment, something different becomes possible. The walls you’ve spent years building — the ones that have kept you safe and kept you lonely at the same time — they come down. Not because someone asked you to take them down. Because you finally felt safe enough to let them.

We talk about self-care and why it isn’t selfish — it’s self-love. We sit with the four questions: Who am I? What do I want? What is my purpose? What am I grateful for? We breathe. We laugh. We say the things we’ve never said out loud in a room full of people who understand exactly what they mean.

Men leave these retreats describing the same thing in different words: a quiet they haven’t felt since they were young. And a clarity about what they actually want — in their relationships, their work, and how they want to live.

“Men leave describing the same thing in different words: a quiet they haven’t felt since they were young, and a clarity about what they actually want.” — From the retreat experience.

Silent Awakenings

Sugar Beach, Costa Rica — 7 Nights Hosted at Reunion Retreat Center, an oceanfront sanctuary on Costa Rica’s Blue Zone coastline

For a long time, the voice in my head told me that if I just worked harder, everything would fall into place. I grew up thinking there were two kinds of people those, who were happy, and then me.

The truth was simpler, and harder. All I needed to do was sit quietly and listen to myself. Around day 45 of my own practice, something shifted. The bitterness softened. The inner noise got quieter. And for the first time, I felt like I had choices.

Rainbow Retreats

Sugar Beach, Costa Rica — 7 Nights, All-Inclusive Hosted at Reunion Retreat Center — created exclusively for gay, bi, and queer men.

I know what it is to hide in plain sight. To perform the version of yourself that feels safe while the real one stays quiet. To be well-liked by everyone and truly known by no one. This retreat was built for that man. Not to fix him. To give him a room where he doesn’t have to perform at all.

Rainbow Retreats is a 7-night immersive experience for gay, bi, and queer men who are ready to reconnect with themselves and live with greater clarity. Many of our facilitation team identify as gay, bi, or queer themselves. This lived understanding shapes everything: the language, the space, the depth of care offered.

What people say when they come back

People leave these retreats and go home differently. They show up differently for their partners, their children, their colleagues. The work doesn’t stay with one person. It ripples. Here’s what some of them have said.

Jeff Goodwin Paul Conklin
“Getting to know oneself is a very important part of being a human being — and if there are people that can guide you down that path, then those are the real treasures in life.”
“These tools have assisted me in being a better person and loving myself more. They really have saved my life in a lot of ways.”

Not sure where to start?

That’s okay. Most people aren’t. Send me a message and tell me where you are — what you’ve been carrying, what you’ve already tried, what you’re ready for. I read every one.

My job is not to tell you which retreat to attend. My job is to listen, ask a few questions, and help you figure out what the next right step actually is — even if that step isn’t a retreat at all.

Do you want me to listen, or do you want me to respond?

Andrew Mychal

What if instead of your usual environment, you stepped into one where you were celebrated for exactly who you are?

You’ve been performing for a long time. Adapting, hiding, making yourself acceptable. This is the room where none of that is required.

I’m not a coach with a program to sell. I’m a man who found his way through, and I’ve watched other men do the same in these spaces. I want that for you. Because you’ve been waiting long enough.

The door was always unlocked. Let’s go through it together. From my inner child to yours — Andrew Mychal
